*TOPIC: HOW TO FULFIL GOD’S WILL FOR YOUR LIFE – PART 5*

*Bible Text: Jer. 1:4-5*

4. Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

5. Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee, and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

After discovering the will of God for your life, then you must learn to wait for the right time for its an accomplishment. That comes as a total shock to most people. Most people think, God, just shows me what You want me to do, and praise God, I can take care of it from here. But, actually, the Scripture teaches that knowing the will of God is the first step and the next step and maybe even a more important step is finding out from God how to for fulfil His will. This is Germaine in our fulfilling God’s will.

Moses actually killed this Egyptian, thinking that murder would produce God’s will. That’s what many of us are doing today. We know God’s will already but we are doing it with our own understanding and that is bringing frustration and failure daily and we wonder if God ever led us. God truly led us but we aren’t waiting on him to know what to do to accomplish His will for our lives. we lean to our own understanding (Prov. 3:5).

Moses tried to accomplish God’s will for his life alone without God’s leading and ended up a fugitive for 40 years. It is pride to receive God’s will and not be ready to receive instruction from God on how to do it. For example, if you tell a contractor to build you a house, the contractor cannot go-ahead to build for his won taste or desire but yours. An engineer will not bring his plan to build my house but rather takes my plan and follow it accordingly. God’s will is God’s plan. You cant do it your own way, it has to be in his own way.

People often take a word from God, make a paragraph out of it, and are out there in self-will. Or, like Moses, they take the word and try to make it happen without asking God about the timing. This happens all the time. *There is a right way and a wrong way to accomplish things. There is God’s way, and there is a selfish way*.

*It’s not enough just to know that God has called us and that He has put an anointing on our lives; we need to develop the character and the maturity to accurately represent Him.

“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” (Prov. 14:12). *Preparation time is never wasted time.*

I hope you’re really getting this. For you to know what God wants you to do is wonderful, and that’s powerful. It’s a great privilege to have God reveal His will to you. I’m not diminishing that. But that is just the beginning step. That’s like opening the door. You have not arrived. You are not complete. It is every bit as important to understand how to follow His will for your life as it is to know what His will is.

For instance, Moses also missed God’s timing. That cost him forty years in the wilderness and the children of Israel thirty years’ extra bondage. That’s not what anyone wants. You need this teaching. Learn by Moses’ mistakes and not yours.
