TOPIC: THE BENEFITS OF GIVING – PART 3
BIBLE TEXT: 2 CORINTHIANS 9:8
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
There is nothing you give that God can’t pay you back in a multitude of folds. This is why you will never be at a disadvantage by obeying the Lord in your giving. He is able to make grace to receive to increase in your life. The rate at which you are receiving now is a function of the level of your giving. If nobody is blessing you financially and materially, it could mean that you have not increased in the grace to receive.
The text today says “God is able”. You see, this is the handwork of God but he only distributes this grace base on our obedience to scriptural principles. Notice that “God is able” that is, he can do it though it is possible he hasn’t done it for you. It could be that you haven’t met the condition highlighted. He is able to do what? To make all grace abound, that is, increase towards you. Which grace is the Bible talking about? The grace to have sufficiency in all things.
Beloved, in how many things do you desire to have sufficiency? The Bible says God can make you have all sufficiency in all things. It is not in some things but all things. Your sufficiency is attached to a condition in the previous verse. The previous verse says you should give as you have determined in your heart willfully, joyfully, cheerfully, and not grudgingly. It is when you have obeyed this condition that God promised to make all grace abound towards you.
May the Lord bless you as you obey the scriptural principles for financial prosperity.
