*TOPIC: BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES FOR FINANCIAL PROSPERITY – PART 4*
*BIBLE: 2 CORINTHIANS 9:6*
*But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.*
The first thing to note in the text is that money and material gifts are regarded as a seed. Your money/gifts are seed in your hand. Paul used this verse as he was encouraging the Church in Corinth to give material gifts to the Church in Jerusalem and called their gifts seed. When we begin to our seed as planting for harvest season, doing good will become easier.
Beloved, you cannot take out of life more than you have planted. Whatever is too big for you to give is too big for you to receive. If you sow sparingly into any area of life, your harvest will be spared. If you sow bountifully, your harvest will come bountifully. If you see any man blessed financially by God, check their giving lifestyle. Don’t just look at their giving financially, check the giving of their body for the advancement of his kingdom. There is no doubt about it that money answer to the effort you have given to everything that generates money.
Paul told us in the text above that what will give determines what we receive. It doesn’t mean we are trading money for gain. We ought not to give God only because of harvest but it should be out of love for him. However, we cannot deny the fact that Paul was talking about giving money/material in our text today.
Sometimes people complain about the coldness of their spiritual life. Beloved, your spiritual life is a reflection of your study and prayer life. When you spend more time with television that with Bible, expect yourself to be carnal. Some people will watch films daily, talk for hours but when it comes to reading the bible, that is when they doze off. Listen well, if you are sowing into your carnal life with unnecessary things you watch, you will not grow up spiritually and your mind will be defiled.
In Gal. 6:8, the Bible says:
If you plant in [the soil of] your corrupt nature, you will harvest destruction. But if you plant in [the soil of] your spiritual nature, you will harvest everlasting life. GWT
Whatever you sow determines what will be your harvest in life. Sow wisely!!!
