BIBLE TEXT: GENESIS 30:1-2, 22-24

1. Abraham and Sarah. Genesis 18:1-14

“Let there be light” means “Lord, please pay us a visit and do the unusual”

When God visited Abraham and Sarah they offered Him food and he agreed. God did what He normally would not do.

God spoke to them face to face. He had spoken to them before then but only in dreams and visions. Genesis 12:1-3, 15:1-6

And God also turned all the prophecies of the past to a decree. Genesis 1:3

Once God speaks it is done. Psalm 33:8-9

They also asked that God will ignore their doubts. It is written that the just shall live by faith (Habakkuk 2:4, Romans 1:17, Galatians 3:11, Hebrews 10:38) but the same God said in Isaiah 43:13 that when He decides to work, no one can hinder Him.

Abraham and Sarah were saying God please pay us a visit and prove your Almightiness. Jeremiah 32:27

When God granted their request, He changed the sorrow of Sarah to laughter.

Prayer 1: Father, please let their be light, pay my family a visit.

2. Isaac and Rebecca. Genesis 25:21-26
What Isaac said to God when His wife was barren could be;
⁃ “Father, please do what you did for my parents for me too.” Ezekiel 18:4, Genesis 13:1-3, Genesis 22:15-17
God replied to Isaac by giving Him the first set of twins ever. Genesis 25:21-26

God made us a promise in Isaiah 61:7 to give us double for our shame.

Prayer 2: Father, please let there be light, give me double for my trouble.

3. Jacob and Rachael. Genesis 29:15-31
Racheal was saying “Lord, I’m sorry. I have trusted men and failed now I’m trusting You.”

If you put your trust in man, you are under a curse. Jeremiah 17:5-8, Psalm 121:1-2

From now on take your eyes off men and focus on God. Genesis 30:22-24

Prayer 3: Father, please let there be light, remember me today.

4. Manoah and his wife. Judges 13
They were barren and things were bad in their country and there was the need for someone to rescue the nation. So God paid Manoah’s wife a visit and said he would be the one to give birth to the champion.

“Let there be light” for this couple means “God you need a champion in my nation and that champion needs a vessel to come into this world” Hebrews 10:5

They were asking to be the vessel God would use.

It could be that were saying “Lord please don’t just visit my wife, visit me also.”

The problem with childbirth is mostly perceived to be with the woman but it might outrightly be the man. So you should pray that God would visit both of you tonight.

Prayer 4: Father, let there be light and let that light shine on both husband and wife.

Manoah and his wife did something when the angel visited them, they told the angel not to go until they entertained him. Judges 13:16-19

5. Elkanah and Hannah.
Elkanah had two wives, one was barren and the other fruitful.

Certainly, Hannah would thank God for the provocations that came from the other woman. Because if that woman had been kind, gentle and polite, Hannah might have accepted fate and become complacent. She pushed her until she carried to God and He answered.

Hannah must have said to God: “thank You for the provocations but let this be my set time.” Psalm 102:13

Hannah would have also thanked God because of all the people present in Shiloh that day, the light of God shone on her alone. You should pray that God will single you out for a special miracle tonight.

Also, Hannah’s sad countenance changed immediately after the Prophet spoke to her. This means she believed the prophet of God and she prospered. 2 Chronicles 20:20

Prayer 5: Father, please let there be light, single me out for a breakthrough.

6. Zechariah and Elizabeth. Luke 1
This couple were devoted children of God but barren. For every minister out there experiencing barrenness, your reproach will end this month (Amen).

Zechariah and Elizabeth gave birth to a very special son, John the Baptist.

We can learn a few things from this story;

⁃ Hope delayed can make the heart sick. Proverbs 13:12
⁃ The two of them made up their minds that whatever happens, they will keep on serving God. For those trusting God for the fruit of the womb, your determination to serve God must be rugged. Job 13:15, They eventually got the best. Matthew 11:11
Prayer 6: Father, please let there be light and because I have waited long, give me the best.

“Let there be light” simply means “Lord, please chase away the darkness of barrenness, fruitless efforts and failure”

Barrenness does not mean the fruit of the womb (children) alone. If you are not being promoted or you are failing exams after adequate preparation, it could be barrenness.

“Let there be light” simply means “Lord, please chase away the darkness of barrenness in any form whatsoever”

Prayer 7: Father, please let there be light and chase away the darkness of barrenness from my life, family, ministry and business.

In John 8:12, Jesus Christ said “I am the Light of the world, anyone who will follow me will never walk in darkness”

This means if you are following the Lord Jesus Christ, darkness should have no place in your life because you are walking with the One who is the Light of the world. All around you Light should shine. Tell darkness “you can’t be near me, I belong to Jesus”

Where Jesus is, light must reign supreme and so darkness, barrenness poverty etc must return to their sender.

But if you are not yet a child of God, you have not yet come to the light. Because there are only two fathers and the other father is the prince of darkness.

If you come to Jesus now, He will receive you, save your soul and His light will begin to shine over your life.

Please do so now.

The Lord says there is someone listening tonight;

1. He wants me to tell you that after He has opened your womb, He will allow you to tell Him when you have had enough.
2. Because the light would shine tonight, your destiny that is considered dead and buried will resurrect.
3. Before the end of this year, you will feel another touch from the Most High.
4. You will still produce the heir to the throne.
5. The child that I’m going to give you this time around, a day will come when everybody will look at him and say “this one is worth waiting for”
6. I have decided to open the womb of your business. I will move you from barely surviving to prosperous and then move you on to flourishing.
7. You’re going to give birth 3 times and each time will be multiple births. A day will come when you and your children want to travel, you will need a bus.
