TOPIC: BENEFITS OF JUSTIFICATION – PART 1

Bible Text: Romans 5:1

[1]Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

The war is over. The wall of partition separating man from God is broken. Man is longer unworthy to stand before the Holy God. The enmity is ended. God is not angry for the sin of Adam because he’s been appeased and the penalty for man’s disobedience is laid on one man, Jesus. Therefore, having been declare guiltless and freed from all charges against the sinful man by the sacrifice of Jesus, we now have peace with God. Glory.

Do you remember what it means to be justified? It is the act of God declaring men free from guilt and acceptable to him and COUNTING THEM RIGHTEOUS

No man is innocent, just or holy until he is declared holy by God. This just doesn’t come by your works but Christ sacrifices. No man has peace with God without acknowledging the son, Jesus Christ. There is no peace with God until a man is saved. Every unbeliever no matter how highly placed in the society is empty, wretched, weak, dying, depraved, Satan-ruled, unsatisfied in the heart, and finding true joy and happiness. The fear of hell and eternity is real until salvation. This is the cause of the absence of peace we all searched for before salvation. At salvation, peace with God is guaranteed through faith in Christ Jesus.

Peace of God cannot be attained by our works. Peace can only come into our hearts when we relate with God base on what Jesus did on the cross through faith. This is why we are justified by faith and not works. It has to come by acknowledging the death, burial, resurrection, and Ascension of the Son of God.

After salvation, we all have a responsibility to live right but this is not enough to make us justified until it is done in faith towards Christ’s work. If I did wrong after salvation, do I lose my justification? No. Rise up, repent, and forsake the wrong act and accept the forgiveness of sin through faith in Christ Jesus. What if I fall again, do it again until the devil has lost the battle over your life. I went for an alter call countless times before I became sure of eternity in heaven. I usually assume every wring is lost of salvation. I did until I was sure of eternity and had peace with God. Glory!
