Good Morning Saints,

Today’s devotional 29/10/18

*The aftermath of the youthful life*

*Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, I find no pleasure in them*- Eccl.12:1

Temptations are part of the human race. It proves how genuine we are to a course. The earlier we learn how to overcome temptation, the better it’s for our glorious future. The only we can correct wrongs easily is in the days of our youth. Note that.

Listen, where you are today is the direct result of your past decisions. We can’t choose the day we are to be born but we can have a say concerning when & how we would die at the end of our race.

No matter how much you hate the law of gravity, if you jump from a 10-floor building, you will fall down. You may not even believe the law but it will affect you because you are under that law. That’s true with God’s word.

In this world, you are either devoted to God or have a date with Satan. Kingdom of darkness (Eph. 6:12) hasn’t stopped attacking people and won’t stop. We, therefore, need the banner of God to live victoriously above the devil’s trap.
Don’t allow your flesh to dictate your decisions if you don’t want to go astray.

There are sons & daughters of nobles & paupers who have reduced themselves from something to nothing because of choices they make at different stages of their lives.

We may think our decisions are insignificant today, but we would look back one day to discover they “make or mar” our destiny.

Eccl.12:1 says *remember the Lord your God in the days of your youth when the EVIL DAY HAS NOT YET COME.

Evil days will come knocking. If Jesus is in your life & you’re keeping his words, you will overcome that day but if he is not in your life or you’re not living according to his word, then, you may be drowned.

One of the most annoying things is that many don’t have a glimpse of the future to know the consequences of today’s action. It is also unfortunate that the future cannot be reversed to start afresh when we arrived there. This is why many people live there entire life in regret saying “If I had known”.

There is only one solution to avoiding sorrowful future & that is by understanding the principle of seedtime and harvest time (Gen.8:22).

I have observed that many people who walk against biblical or life principles don’t have an idea of the consequences or think it’s not real. When the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable. Sin would hide its consequence at the beginning but will resurface when you least expected.

You may even dwell and take pleasure in stealing, forging of figures, sexual sin and it seems pleasurable to you, but the day of harvest is coming.

Different kind of life trauma leads people to Christ. Some sickness, another incurable disease or childlessness due to several abortions, etc. All this problem is caused by disobedience to God’s word. The consequences of sin we got away with many times hurt us later in life. God is merciful if we repent today genuinely.

Some assume sister so and so did it and got away with it but it is not really true because they still suffer for those willful acts they committed even though it may not be known to you.

Beloved, God has not destined you for regret and humiliation but for glory. You may have made wrong decisions in time past, make a U-turn today and surrender your pieces to God so that He can restore you for a glorious future. Your continuation in iniquity will make you to be utterly destroyed.

Accept Jesus wholeheartedly and He will mend your broken life for His glory and Honour. Jesus is the way out of that evil trouble.

Jesus will forgive if you genuinely repent -1 John 8-9

Shalom.
