THE LORD IS ON MY SIDE; I WILL NOT FEAR by Isaac Oluwaseun Agbenla

Pleasant Morning Saints,

Let’s consider Ps 118:6

*The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?*

Fear is the opposite of faith. God has not given us the spirit of fear but of love, power and sound mind- 2 Tim. 1:7.The major reason why people fear is that they do not have an understanding and assurance of security. Some also fear because they think they are not loved by people they expected to love them.

The golden verse says the Lord is on my side.

Is the Lord on your own side?

Do you know the Lord?

You see, when you are not sure of where you belong maybe God’s kingdom or Satan’s camp, you will fear anything. Your assurance of salvation and eternity with God will build confidence in your spirit man. Have you personally confess Jesus as your Lord and Saviour? Do you have the assurance that you are born again according to Rom. 8:16? If you are not sure that you are on the Lord’s side, then you have to make that decision today to escape the tormenting fear brings.

Now, if you are already born again why do you fear? Listen, when the Lord is on your side, you will enjoy victory in the midst of all your battles. You see, you will be faced with challenges but when God is by your side, your enemies will either surrender or be crushed.

Brethren, you must begin to walk with the understanding that God and His angels are with you wherever you go. The eyes of God encamp around the righteous the Bible says. Don’t think of an accident because that’s not your portion. Always remember that he promised never to leave you and forsake you. He promised to be with you in fire and when you pass through water.

He promised to help you when no man is ready to help you. He promised to be your father even when your earthly father forsakes you. He promised to be the husband to the widow. He is ever reliable and dependable. God can’t fail you or leave you to perish. Even when you fall or fail always remember his mighty and everlasting arms are waiting to lift you up again as you cry to him in mercy.

He is merciful and gracious over our weaknesses. He knows our strength and feels our pains. Whatever pains you pains God. He was once tempted like you and me, but he overcame. Because he overcame, he knows what it means to tempt in the midst of trials and temptations you are passing through. (Isaiah 41:17, 42:16).

Don’t fear man nor their judgment. Fear God who can destroy flesh and punish the sinful souls. Don’t be moved about the rejection of man. Jesus has promised that he will not cast you off when you call upon him. Those who condemn your past are not necessarily better than you. There is no good sinner because all have sinned and fall short of the glory of the Lord (Rom. 3:23).

Apostle Paul was ill spoken of by men of God until the changes in his life became evident (Acts 9:13). Keep moving until Christ be formed in you. You cannot stop growing in the faith. Even when you fail, rise again to shame the devil’s plot. You are going to finish well if you don’t give up. You will still become a testimony if you persist. Devil will quit definitely when he sees that you are unstoppable.
