BIBLE: EPHESIANS 1:6
*To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein we have been ACCEPTED in the beloved*
Beloved, God loves us irrespective of our imperfections. He accepted us the way we are so that he can make us who he is. He received us as his beloved with gladness and approval. He is not enduring us, he actually enjoys our sonship.
The word accept according to the American Heritage Dictionary defines “accept” as to receive (something offered), especially with gladness or approval.
Beloved, the Lord does not just tolerate us. He actually loves us. He even likes us. He rejoices over us with joy unspeakable -Zephaniah 3:17. Lack of understanding of this eternal truth has denied many Christians their legitimate inheritance in Christ Jesus. If your earthly father loves you dearly, how much more of your heavenly Father.
Almost all religions share the belief in a supreme being and they are seeking ways to reconciled to him -John 6:28, but only Christianity presents the truth that God can actually be pleased with us and he made unusual attempt to redeem us by sending his only begotten son to die in our place. (Hebrews 11:5-6). Other religions are seeking God but God has already been revealed to us in the person of Christ and dwells in us through the power of the Holy Ghost.
You see, God is no longer angry with his children who are in Christ. We are loved, accepted and celebrated in the Kingdom of God. We need to understand that this acceptance has nothing to do with us but has everything to do with what Jesus did on Calvary. We are not qualified by our works but we are justified through faith in His works on the cross of Calvary.
Beloved, God knows you more than you know yourself. He understood your weaknesses before you acknowledge it. He is waiting for you to grow out of your state of condemnation through your knowledge of his agape love towards you. He understands everything that appears mysterious in your life journey. He is working everything out in your favour. He loves you more than you love yourself.
Precious people, don’t let anyone define God for you. You can get to know and have intimate fellowship with him when you study and meditate on his word.
