Good Morning Saints,

TOPIC: UNDERSTANDING YOUR SPIRITUAL GROWTH

BY: ISAAC O. AGBENLA

Immediately you are saved you receive speedy answers to your prayers. In fact, some times you get what you pray for almost immediately you finished asking*

After some time, your answers begin to extend beyond an hour, days at a time, weeks at some other times and gradually you wait for months and years in some occasion before you receive right answer to some prayers.

It doesn’t mean God has stopped loving you. His love has not reduced neither can it diminished. He is still your father and provider. You are simply learning how to grow in faith through patience.

Beloved, it may even appear as if God is no longer listening to your prayers. Listen, he heard everything you say and only waiting to see what you would do in case he did not respond. Are you going to compromise your standard and moral uprightness because God has not given you your request? Many are doing it, YES i know. God will test your loyalty in the midst of trials.

Brethren, God will test your obedience as you grow. He will use money to test you. Can you share your money with him? He may even allow you to have lesser money than you needed and you will be in a difficult situation to decide whether to obey tithing or spend it all to meet your needs.

Patience is a virtue that whoever desire to walk with God must have. Reading Bible alone will not mature you as a Christian. You must practically demonstrate what you see. You have read about Abraham’s patience when Isaac has not come. You also must be tested but not on same issue but a test is test.

For example: *Hebrews 10:36*

*For ye have need of PATIENCE, that , after ye have DONE the WILL OF GOD, ye might RECEIVE the PROMISE*

*3 things to Note*

1. Do the will of God
2. Be patient
3. Receive the promise

*Obeying God’s will doesn’t make our journey automatically trial-free but it guarantees safety in the misdt of storm. Abraham obeyed God’s instruction and he was the “patriarch of faith” yet he waited hopefully for the fulfilment of the promise*

*You may have to wait for your seed to germinate. Maize is harvested after 3 months*
*Cocoa and rubber takes about 4years. If you plant cocoa, you can’t expect it to come in 3 months*

*Nevertheless, God alone changes time and season*

*Beloveth, Pls be patient for the promise because it’s not over yet*
