Good Morning Saints,
*Topic: How to discover and fulfill God’s will Part 2*
Bible: Jeremiah 1:5
*Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.*
God had purpose for creating everything he ever created. Our text says before he formed you, he already knew who you suppose to become. Whether you become what God has destined you to be or not is your choice. Every manufacturer has end product in mind before production starts. Why won’t God Almighty have plan before he creates. When a builder is laying foundation for duplex, he had duplex in mind before digging at all.
You are in God’s eternal plan before you ever came out of your mother’s womb. The question then is, have you discovered what God had in mind when he sent you into the world through your mother’s womb?. No matter the nature, process or circumstances behind your birth, you are known by God before the foundation of the world.
Beloved, you may appear to be useless to people judging you but you are actually useful in one area which you possibly haven’t discovered. Until you discovered where you belong, you won’t have dominion in any territory. If you haven’t found your place in life, you need not to panic because that is the purpose of the teaching.
You see, you need to know this, *Satan will do everything he can to stop you*. If you don’t collide with the devil, it’s because you both are heading in the same direction.
*_How do you know God’s will?_*
There are many ways to discovering what you are created to do in life. You see, your assignment may not appeal to your friend’s taste but that is your purpose. You don’t have to be like anybody because you are created uniquely to fulfill a specific purpose which no other can fulfill but you.
*_Number one way to discovering your purpose in life_*
Let’s use the life of Moses and learn some things God would want to show us. If you can receive this revelational truth, you will never wander without direction again. I can promise you that this lesson from Moses’ life is relevant to every single person.
Read: Exodus 2:11-15 says,
*And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren*.
*And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand.*
*And when he went out the second day, behold, two men of the Hebrews strove together: and he said to him that did the wrong, Wherefore smitest thou thy fellow?*
*And he said, Who made thee a prince and a judge over us? intendest thou to kill me, as thou killedst the Egyptian? And Moses feared, and said, Surely this thing is known*.
Looking at the passage as a movie, you will think Moses did not know he was Hebrew. So, when he went out and killed this Egyptian, he did it just because he was a nice guy who fought for the underdog. But if you have an overview of the entire Word of God, you’ll discover that’s not how it happened.
_In Acts 7:23, Stephen, speaking of Moses, said_,
*And when he was full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel.*
In other words, he knew he was Jewish. God had started this whole thing by laying it on Moses’ heart to go “visit his brethren the children of Israel.”
Number one thing to learn about God’s will is that it’s within you but it will take spiritual sensitivity and prayer to get it to your understanding. God laid it in Moses heart. Moses knew it through inner conviction. What is God laying in your heart? It may be in your relationship, marriage, career, academics and so on.
Acts 7:24-25 reads,
*And seeing one of them suffer wrong, he defended him, and avenged him that was oppressed, and smote the Egyptian*:
* For he supposed his brethren would have understood how that God by his hand would deliver them: but they understood not*.
This totally changes everything! This means that when Moses killed this Egyptian, it wasn’t something that just happened. Moses knew God’s will for his life. How? God laid in his heart. He knew that God had called him to bring deliverance to the Jews. When he killed this Egyptian, *he was actually trying to bring God’s will to pass.* He had inner witness of his purpose in life though he hasn’t heard from God audibly. He wanted to fulfill that inner conviction by his own strength when he killed the Egyptian and that is how many of us today are, we have strong inner convictions already but we haven’t asked God how to bring it to pass in his own way. There is a right and wrong way to accomplish God’s will. Moses did it wrong way and prolonged his journey by another 40years and made children of Israel spend another extra 30 years in captivity. Instead of 400 years, they were in captivity for 430 years.
Beloved, many answers to prayer comes with God laying something to do for solution in your heart. Moses couldn’t stand watching an Egyptian maltreat his fellow Jewish brother. There was this strong passion in him to ensure the Israelites are treated with dignity. What do you have passion for?
Don’t wait for audible voice before you act. You have the Holy Spirit inside of you, let him direct you. Pray about your convictions. When you ask for money from God, don’t always expect cash in return but idea that can produce more than what you have asked.
You see, what you have strong desire to do without any pay could possibly be the problem you are born to solve. Look inward and ask yourself, what is it that God has given me ability to do naturally without much labour?
Beloved, do you notice that it was God that laid it in Moses heart to go visit his brethren? God is willing to lead you to your place of fulfilment. If Moses hadn’t taken the step of faith to go visit his brethren, the journey to destiny may never have started. What step do you suppose to take today? Take that step. Which call do you suppose to make? Make it.
