ASSESSING THE UNDENIABLE IMPACT OF THE CHURCH IN THE LAND
David O Ani
With the way Christ Embassy (BLW) is going, they will practically take over the Music Industry soon, their products are about the purest form of music in Nigeria, they are representing globally with quality.
With the way Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry(MFM) is going, one day, this nation will beg them to come and take over the sports ministry in general and football in particular.
Are you aware that the football team they founded few years ago is practically one of the best run football clubs in the Nigerian professional league? They almost won the league last season of last year. They were the runners up.
The day will come when this nation will beg Winners Chapel(Living Faith Church) to run the education sector and even the power sector.
Are you aware that Covenant university in its few years of existence compared to other federal universities that were there decades before it was founded, is light years ahead of many? According to the current rating based on RESEARCH, TEACHING QUALITY, INFRASTRUCTURE, PERSONNEL and FUNDING…. etc. CU is currently 6th in the entire nation and that includes, beating many first and 2nd generation universities.
Are you also aware that CU is located in a world of its own, practically in “a city” called Canaan land. A city that is practically unaffected by Nigerian circumstances?
A city not connected to Nigeria’s national(power) grid? A city that generates it’s own power and have counted over a DECADE (1999-2018) without power outage? Yes, in this Nigeria, proving that nothing is wrong with Nigeria but poor management and leadership.
Are you also aware that this over a DECADE OF UNINTERRUPTED POWER SUPPLY was largely made possible by Covenant University trained engineers and engineering students?
Are you aware that as it is becoming difficult to find any government funded Rehab center in Nigeria, RCCG and House on the Rock are coming to the rescue?
Yes, in a nation that the government has failed for decades, the Church will soon ‘take over’ the government to implement their high disciplined financial probity that is resulting into proofs.
Even the naysayers are aware it takes high discipline to be able to achieve all the multi billion dollar projects most Nigerian originated churches are doing world over, including non camera-induced charity and still manage their tens of thousands of staff, run effective schools and hospitals, without crises.
Are there more to be done? Sure.
Is the Church perfect? No.
