Topic: When God is Silent Part 1
Text: Isaiah 55:6-8
Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon Him while he is near
Are there times God is not available to answer prayers? No. Why then can he found at some times and not all the times? This is the kind of question that will first pop up in your mind when you see a verse like tis.
God is always available and accessible but there is protocol and requirement to entering into his presence. God is everywhere but his presence is not everywhere. You will find God in the house of a believer next to a shrine but God is not in the shrine. Hell is not from far from Abraham’s bosom but God is not in hell. The rich man in Luke 16:23 saw Lazarus from hell but Lazarus was under Abraham’s bosom.
For example, in Ps 50:15, the Bible says:
Call upon me in the days of trouble, I will deliver you and thou shall glorify me.
This statement is true but has expiring date. Once a man die without calling on God for salvation, he may seek same God in hell but it will be a total waste because it is written in HEB. 9:27 that “it is appointed unto a men once to die, but after this the judgement.
You see, no amount of worship or prayer can save a man from hell again after death. So, when the Bible says seek the Lord when he could be found, it is saying there is time for everything and every opportunity lost may never be regained back.
Beloved, if you haven’t seek the Lord, the time is now. Your day of salvation is today. Accept Christ into your heart.
